Hey peeps! It's been awhile since I posted! Not much has been going on with me, other than going on vacation and celebrating my birthday. :) I'll be posting birthday pics later - first, though, here are some beach piccies!

I'm still alive, and am actually doing pretty OK. Perhaps my newly upped dosage of one of my meds will start having an effect...?

One new development - I'm going to be going back to doing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as soon as possible. Turns out my new fantastic psych wants me to start it up again, but with someone new. So we're in the process of deciding upon a new CBT therapist. This is a good thing. I do need the therapy, because meds can only do so much...

Anywho, my family and I will be making our annual trek to Solomon's Island over the weekend (Friday and Saturday, then go home on Sunday afternoon). For as long as I can remember, we've visited Solomon's at some point during October. It's kind of a mini-vacation that doubles as an anniversary celebration for my parents, who were married on Oct 15 aeons ago. ;)

Solomon's is lovely, a very quiet little place with gorgeous views of the Chesapeake and lots of neat shops to visit, plus has a wonderful museum with all sorts of nautical paraphernalia. (My parents LOVE anything to do with the ocean, sailing, that sort of thing - my mom particularly adores lighthouses, so it's neat that SI has a beautiful lighthouse that you can take a tour of.)

So when I get back, I shall post piccies. :)

Oh yeah! There was this meme about gay rights going around, where if you truly support gay rights you'll post it in your journal. I can't find it again, so just take my word for it, even without the highly official meme text, that I am a total supporter of gay rights. :)

Hey all! Comin' atcha from Wildwood, NJ! Just checkin' in (they've got a computer here!) - but my flist page is about skip=billion, so if anything interesting is going on, you gotta let me know by commenting or summat!

It's beautiful here, and we've only had a little rain - and one big thunderstorm. But it was fun stuff. :) We actually get back on Saturday, not Friday (I got the date wrong!), so I shall be posting updates then! :) (Cos I know you're so looking forward to hearing about my adventures.) ;)

Vacation: August 8 - 13

I'll be going on vacation (to lovely Wildwood, NJ :) ) for the next week. So, no updates or anything till I get back (not that I've been updating a whole lot, but you know what I mean). Don't anybody do anything interesting until I get back! ;)

August 8, ETA: Woke up this morning to learn that Peter Jennings had passed away. He was "my" newscaster - during 9/11, I watched his news reports more than anyone else, and watched him reporting the returns the night of the 2004 election. He was one of the few remaining classy journalists, and will be missed.

Aside from that sad bit of news, it's lovely here in NJ! Kind of drizzly, but drizzly at the beach is better than drizzly at home! ;) They also have a communal computer with internet access - hallelujah! Hence this update. Whoop!
