I've posted this mp3 every year since 2006! :) Here's a classic account of Jesus' birth by one Arthur Shepherd (Peter Cook), as told to a reporter (Dudley Moore) from the Bethlehem Star. :)

Hugs, love, and cheery bye, Scarlett

Hey everybody! Hope the holiday season is treating everyone well. To further enhance your Christmas experience, I give you my annual Christmas compilation! It's largely unchanged from last year's edition - I removed a South Park tune ("Oh Holy Night," as sung by Cartman!) and added in two others by Sarah Brightman (a cover of "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)") and Britney Spears ("My Only Wish (This Year)"). I also made a new cover. :)

Check it out under the cut!

Don't let the mystery go )

I finished my math class - with an utterly shocking A! I must admit that I am a bit proud of the fact that I didn't fail the class but in fact did well! *toots own horn*

I'm thoroughly enjoying the Christmas season - we've got our tree and decorations up, and I've got the Christmas music going often. No snow in our neck of the woods yet, but I hope we get a good snowfall before the winter is over!!

I made a holiday wallpaper a few weeks ago, so if you'd like to sparkle up your desktop, head on over to the iconpile. :)

Take care peeps! :) Cheery bye, Scarlett

Hope everybody had a very happy Thanksgiving! Last year I did a list of the things I'm most thankful for, so I thought I'd do one for 2008. :)

The 5 serious things I'm thankful for...

1. My fabulous family and friends!
2. My physical and mental health :)
3. I've had a great semester and have done better than I ever expected in my math class!
4. I continue to know and understand that happiness is most definitely an option
5. The little things in life!

The 5 not so serious things I'm thankful for...

6. The last few months of 2008 have resulted in quite a few cool album releases!
7. We have Verizon Fios, which is absolutely awesome
8. It's finally the time to load my iPod up with my fave Christmas songs!
9. Though Pushing Daisies has been canceled, the rest of the season's episodes will still be aired
10. Obama was elected!

Take care, peeps! Cheery bye, Scarlett

O hay guys!

So I saw Sweeney Todd with my mom on Friday, and it was awesome.

I got my grades for Theatre and Women's Studies... I don't really know how I managed it, but I got an A+ in both! This is wonderful for several reasons: first, it's just great in general to get good grades; second, it certainly doesn't hurt my GPA; and finally, it proves to me that I haven't lost any of my abilities since I've been out of action and shown me that I am still extremely capable of doing well. That last point is worth its weight in gold. :)

I've got all my Christmas gifts for the family all set and ready to be given! I downloaded a ton of music for them and feel quite pleased with myself for finding some stuff that I think they will really like. :) I'm quite excited for Christmas and am enjoying watching my fave Christmas movies/TV shows. It's not Christmas with out It's A Wonderful Life, White Christmas, A Christmas Story, and Christmas Vacation or the TV classics A Muppet Family Christmas, Pee-Wee's Christmas Special, and Blackadder's Christmas Carol. I really do think this is the most wonderful time of the year. :)

Hope everyone's having fun! :) Cheery bye, Scarlett

All righty, so that Kylie post I was gonna do awhile ago is postponed now until after exams, and in general I'll (hopefully) be posting more after exams end. My last exam is on the 18th and then I'm free! Well, for the winter break, anyway. :)

I've really enjoyed my classes (all two of them! ;) ) this semester. I've never actually had an academic experience where I truly enjoyed the process - like, in years past I mainly felt like it was just required and I had to do the work (which is true, of course). Now, though, I wanted to do the work, and I wanted to do it well. Part of this was because the classes were very interesting, and part of it was because I had been out of action so long that I wanted to prove to myself that I hadn't lost whatever academic spark I had. So it's been a fantastic semester, both academically (if I do say so myself!) and just in general.

It's winter once again, and you know what that means - the holidays are upon us! Music is such a big part of Christmas for me, so I posted a few albums, plus a revised edition of my Christmas compilation, on my music blog. I'll post my Christmas comp, which I call And So This Is Christmas: Tunes To Sparkle The Dark Up, below, for easy access. :)

That's it for now! The next few days are going to be devoted to studying - fun stuff! ;)

Cheery bye, Scarlett

The 5 serious things I'm thankful for...

1. Having wonderful family and friends
2. My health (both mental and physical!)
3. Being able to be back in school - and enjoying it, no less!
4. I'm glad I've learned how to live in the moment
5. I'm thankful to be where I am now

The 5 not so serious things I'm thankful for...

6. The Mighty Boosh is back on the air - whoop!
7. Kylie's new album comes out next week
8. Good TV: Pushing Daisies, House, Boston Legal...
9. Music blogs and forums turn me on to great new sounds daily
10. The holiday season is upon us!

Anyways, hope everyone's doing peachy! School's still going well, as is life in general. I got back my Theatre midterm, by the way - managed a 100% on that one too! :O I'm rather shocked, and pleased!

Seeing as I'm rather dull at the moment, but want to post more, has anyone got any posting suggestions for me? For instance, shall I do a few picspams? Reviews? That sort of thing? There's a little life in this old journal yet - I just need some ~*inspiration*~. :)

Cheery bye, Scarlett

PS - (For anyone interested, I've posted the new Girls Aloud album and a review of it on my music blog - take a peek!)

Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you for the kind comments and let you know that I will reply to them this week. I couldn't ask for sweeter friends (whether you're "irl" or online!). :D

Hope everyone has had/will have a happy holiday (Easter/Passover/your religious or non-religious holiday of choice!)! :D
