What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Work! (In the History department!)
Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Not a New Years' resolution-makin' type; I just make up goals as I go along :)
Did anyone close to you give birth?
One of my cousins and his wife had a little girl! :)
Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank goodness
What countries did you visit?
What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Eh, not much. :)
What date(s) from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
APRIL 30, 2011. Saw Kylie Minogue live in concert! :D

Working, doing well in my classes - that sort of thing always makes me feel accomplished!
What was your biggest failure?
No failures, just learning experiences, right? ;)
Did you suffer illness or injury?
What was the best thing you bought?
Music stuff, definitely. :D
Whose behavior merited celebration?
Great docs and support from family and friends! Also, Kylie's fierceness during her Aphrodite/Les Folies tour. Amazing!!
Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Oh Florence, why is your No Light, No Light video the way it is? A resounding fail in the otherwise enchanting Ceremonials era.
Where did most of your money go?
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Kylie live!
What song will always remind you of 2011?
"Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, lol. Such goofy fun!
Compared to this time last year (2010), are you:
Things are kinda "meh," but they'll get better. :)
What do you wish you'd done more of?
Blog and LJ-writing!
What do you wish you'd done less of?
How did you spend Christmas?
With ham and the fam. Christmas ham, man. It's good.
What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2011?
Actually, I don't think I made too much of a fool of myself this year! Yay!
How many one-night stands?

American Idol, cooking shows like Chopped
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Super-classy, of course!
What kept you sane?
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
To borrow a phrase from the wise dudes of LMFAO: "Now stop - hatin' is bad"
What was the best book you read in 2011?
I read The Cheese And The Worms by Carlo Ginzburg for a class on Europe's Reformations I took this year, and it was really neat.

Lia Ices, Lykke Li (I knew about her, but didn't get into her stuff until 2011), Pati Yang, Hugo, Class Actress, Bell... Lots of great artists came onto my radar this year!!
What did you want and get?
Great grades (not to toot my own horn, but yeah!)
What did you want and not get?
What was your favorite film of this year?
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2... and The Muppets! Both fantastic in their own ways.

A movie and tasty food! 25 :)
What three things would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Eh, not having health stuff crop up, mostly - but everything else was good! :)
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Robert Redford, om nom nom. Dat hair.
What political issue stirred you the most?
Just like last year, didn't get too into politics beyond watching the news. :)
Who did you miss?
Let's continue the celeb thing - such a sad year for classic Brit celeb deaths: Nicholas Courtney, Elisabeth Sladen, and Trevor Bannister all passed away :(
What is a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011?
This year seemed to really reinforce my belief that "happiness is an option" - it must be, it has to be, and it is.
What quote can be used to sum up your year?
"I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope" ("Shake It Out" by Florence + The Machine) - that sounds so morbid, but, well, it really does (and the hope bit especially) sum up how I feel as 2011 ends. I'm ready to do whatever in order to be happy and healthy, so here's to a really good 2012! :)
Happy New Year, everybody! :D Cheery bye, Scarlett
